Sudowrite is hiring a Business Operations Lead to build the function from scratch inside an early-stage, founder-led AI company
Hawaii-based or remote with Hawaii time zone overlap, founder-led culture, AI-native team
High-ownership seat shaping the operating rhythm, BD systems, financial controls, and cross-functional coordination

Sudowrite is the leading AI writing platform for novelists and screenwriters, growing fast with an AI-first product motion
Anchor the operations function full-time, partnering with an existing part-time operations resource and scaling the practice as the company grows
Work directly with the co-founders shipping the operating rhythm of an AI-native company
Build with AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Claude Code) as a first-class operator, not as a productivity layer bolted on top

Build and own the company's operating rhythm, including weekly reviews, planning cadences, and goal tracking
Set up and run business development systems including pipeline tracking, deal flow, and partner coordination
Establish financial controls, vendor management, contracts, and procurement workflows
Drive cross-functional coordination across product, engineering, marketing, and support
Build internal admin and BD tools using Claude Code, Cursor, and similar AI productivity tools
Run special projects across investor relations, hiring coordination, and founder support

10+ years of operations experience at venture-backed startups, ideally as Chief of Staff, Business Operations Lead, or Senior Operations Manager
Track record of building functions from scratch in early-stage, founder-led companies
Hands-on with AI productivity tools (Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) applied to real product or systems work
Strong financial and BD systems fluency, including pipeline, CRM, contracts, and vendor management
Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable supporting investor and customer conversations
Hawaii-based or willing to operate on Hawaii time zone overlap
